How do I extend my student license?

A student license is valid for 400 days. If your license has expired but you are still enrolled as a student, you can apply for an extension!

Step 1: Collect your License Info

  1. Start Pythagoras
Depending on the status of your license, you will encounter one of the following situations:
    1. License expired: Proceed to point 2.
    2. License still active: Go to Help > About Pythagoras > License Info
  2. Click on the Collect C2V tab.
  3. Click on Collect Info
  4. Save the C2V-file in a location on your computer that is easy to find.

  5. Send support@pythagoras.net an email with both:
    1. the C2V-file
    2. a valid proof of enrollment from your school

Note: Without a valid proof of enrollment, you are not eligible for an extension, and your application will need to be resubmitted.

Step 2: Activate the Extension

  1. Wait 1 to 3 business days.
  2. You will receive a response email containing a V2C file.
  3. Save the V2C file to a location on your computer that is easy to find.
  4. Start Pythagoras.
  5. Click on the Apply V2C tab
  6. Click on Apply Update
  7. Select the V2C file and Open

You can now use Pythagoras again for another 400 days!
