How to add vertices or breaklines to a terrain model

Modified on Mon, 28 Jul at 11:43 AM

Edit Terrain Model

Via the menu DTM > Edit Terrain Model, you can quickly and easily modify the terrain model.

Please be aware that these steps will become irreversible when you have confirmed the action.

Add selected objects

Draw additional geometry using the existing tools in Pythagoras, select it, and interactively add them as vertices or breaklines. Adding points will generates vertices, and adding lines will generates breaklines.

Polygons

By selecting one or more polygons, you can now use the Edit Terrain Model function to cut away a part of the terrain model. This can be particularly useful for your volume calculations.

It’s also possible to insert one DTM into another existing DTM. The overlapping part will be changed and will be fully integrated resulting in a new triangulation.
