License activation without internet
If network security settings are too strict, Pythagoras cannot be launched, or you do not have an internet connection, the activation must be performed manually.
Manual Activation via Sentinel Remote Update System (RUS) Utility
PROCESS
1. Download the RUS-utility onto the computer
- Download the RUS utility customized for Pythagoras.
- Copy the RUS utility to the computer or server where the license needs to be activated.
The RUS utility is a standalone tool provided by Thales for managing Sentinel licenses. The RUS tool is primarily used for offline new activations, network licenses, and license-transfers. https://pythagorasbvba.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/guestaccess.aspx?docid=0e2bf64d70f624dffa26ea6c1f57ead77&authkey=ASzbz5v8TSoqrFIaWsnsnPU

- Open the RUS utility.
- Navigate to the Collect Status information tab.
- Select the option: Installation of new protection key.
- Press Collect information to generate a C2V file.
- In the File Explorer window, select a location for the C2V file to be saved.
- Email the C2V file to: [email protected].
3. Receive and apply the V2C File
- After processing your request, you will receive an email from Pythagoras Support with a V2C file attached.
- Save the V2C file on your computer.
- Open the RUS utility.
- Navigate to the Apply License File tab. (1)
- Click on the ... button to browse for a file. (2)
- In the File Explorer window, locate and select the V2C file. Click on the Open button.
- In the RUS window, click the Apply Update button.
Restart Pythagoras or the Sentinel License Manager service to finalize the activation.
