Customer sends C2V file and needs V2C file

Instead of using RUS utility, customer sends C2V file and needs V2C file to perform the transfer.

Usecases:

- Manual install - activation without internet (INCORRECT)

- License TRANSFER: An existing user wants to move his license of Pythagoras to other PC (or install new Windows OS on the same PC).

- SL Studentlicense: verlengen (C2V-V2C)

1. EMS: Checking in a C2V File

To generate an update file (V2C) for formatting a remote Sentinel Protection Key:

1. Go to  EMS and login.

2. Tab Entitlements

3. In subnavigation click tab: Check In C2V.

Check In C2V window opens.

• Click on Browse
• Navigate to the C2V file you wish to check-in

• Click Open.
NOTE: if Fingerprint, then Activate SL manually - fingerprint_42965.c2v

The location of the C2V file is displayed and the Check In button is enabled.

4.Click Check In. The C2V file is checked in and the Format button is enabled.

IF Check in not allowed. Cloned Detected!
Click on Clear Clone
IF Clear clone operation cannot be performed

5.Click Format.

6. The file download dialog box appears and the .v2c file is in your Downloads folder

7.The default name for the file is displayed as FormatKey_[unique ID of key].v2c.

To complete the format operation, apply the file generated in the previous step:
either email it to the customer or apply it for them via AnyDesk 

To apply a Format V2C file to a Sentinel Protection Key at the end-user site:

USING RUS utility

1.Navigate to and select the location where your RUS utility is stored.

2.Double-click rus.exe.

3.Click the Apply License Update tab. (This might be the only tab displayed.)

4.Click Browse and navigate to the V2C file containing the license update that you received.

5.Select the file and click Open. The file name and path is displayed in the Update File field.

6.Click Apply Update to apply the new license data to your Sentinel Protection key.
