Sliced volume calculation

The Volume calculation feature has been enhanced with the ability to report calculated volumes for different height intervals. Instead of only providing the total volume of a terrain model, you can now define specific height ranges or divide the volume into multiple sections based on a set number of slices.

This new functionality allows for a detailed breakdown of volume distribution within a model, making it easier to analyze material quantities, excavation planning, or staged construction work. Each slice’s volume is listed separately, with all sections summing up to the total volume of the Digital Terrain Model (DTM).

The sliced volume calculation is applied to the entire terrain model, no need to select a polygon.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to DTM > Volumes...

In the Volume calculation window, choose Slice volumes using prisms.

Then choose if you want to specify the 'slicing' by:

    - number of sections

    - or by distance: set the height interval

Click 'Calculate'.

The Volume Calculation report opens.
