Autofill button for cross sections

When working with length profiles or cross sections, speed and clarity are often more important than fine-tuned styling. You want to quickly see distinctions between different datasets—without having to manually adjust settings for each record.

To make this process faster and more intuitive, we’ve added a new Autofill button to the cross section and length profile dialog box.

How It Works

  • With one click, the system automatically creates records for all visible DTMs or point clouds.

  • Each record is instantly assigned a distinct color.

  • This ensures that every dataset is clearly distinguishable at a glance, without the need to open child dialogs or configure colors manually.

Key Benefits

  • Clarity at speed: Perfect for quick profile creation where visual distinction matters more than detailed styling.

  • No risk of data loss: Existing records remain untouched—you can manually remove them if needed.

  • Flexible use: Works with both DTMs and point clouds, depending on the selected menu item.

Inspired by Familiar Tools

This feature is modeled after the popular Auto Populate button in the color maps dialog box. Now, you can enjoy the same convenience when working with profiles and cross sections.
