The Benefits of Cloud Licensing

Cloud Licensing offers several advantages for both end-users and administrators:

• No technical knowledge or infrastructure required – No need for local servers or VPN connections; an internet connection is all that’s needed.
• Easy user management – Licenses can be added or removed at any time, offering maximum flexibility.
• Access from anywhere – Users can work from different devices as long as they have an internet connection.
• Direct control for administrators – Administrators have full control over the licenses and can make changes independently.

How Does Cloud Licensing Work?

1. Assigning Licenses via the Cloud Portal

Administrators can easily add users through the Cloud Portal, where a separate user account is created for each end-user. By enabling the "Send Notification" option, the user will automatically receive an email with instructions to activate the license.

Additionally, Cloud Licensing offers extra flexibility:

• Licenses can be temporarily disabled. Once a user is deactivated, the software immediately recognizes it and revokes access. When reactivated, the connection is restored automatically.
• Users can switch between different devices, but only one session can be active at a time.
• If multiple cloud licenses are available, administrators can choose which licenses are assigned to specific users.

2. Installation and Activation by the User

Users will receive an email with a link to install the cloud license. This process can be repeated on multiple devices, as long as the license remains active.

Once successfully installed, the cloud license will be recognized as a local license in Pythagoras without any additional configuration.
