Display annotations in the 3D window

Annotations can be displayed directly in the 3D window, making it easier to review dimensions and other annotation types while working in a 3D view.


STEPS

  1. Open the 3D window by pressing SHIFT+W or by selecting Window > 3D Window.

  2. Make sure the layer containing the annotations is visible.

  3. In the 3D window, in the Scene toolba, click the Show drop-down list. 

  4. Select Annotations to display annotations in the 3D window. 

You can also use the Show menu to display Point Numbers, Comments, Elevations, Lengths, Areas, and Images independently.



Create annotations for 3D objects

You can also create new objects in the 3D window and annotate them afterwards.

  1. Open the 3D window.

  2. Draw a 3D line between the required points.

  3. Return to the 2D window to edit or add annotations if needed.




Navigate in the 3D window

Use ALT + right-click to rotate the camera around a point. This allows you to inspect annotations from different viewing angles.




RESULT

Annotations are displayed in the 3D window, allowing you to review dimensions and object information directly in the 3D view.

Use the Scene toolbar to quickly show or hide annotations without modifying the drawing.
