Annotating 3D Polylines
3D polylines can be annotated in the same way as other objects or spatial relationships in your drawing. Annotations help communicate measurements directly on the plan — whether it's for elevation lines, road alignments, or utility networks.
You can annotate:
Vertices — display XY coordinates and Z elevation at any vertix
Segment lengths — show the length between two vertices
Total Length Entire polylines — indicate the total 3D length of a polyline
EXAMPLE
Common use cases include - see image from left to right:
Total length
Display the full length of a polyline with multiple segments. Useful for pipelines, cable routes, or terrain edges.
Distance between two polylines
Annotate the horizontal or spatial gap between separate paths.
Vertex coordinates
Show the 3D coordinates of a specific point for control checks or inspection purposes.
