Installing a macro in Pythagoras CAD
Macros in Pythagoras CAD are written in Pythagoras VBA and allow users to add extra functionalities or automate tasks. This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to install and activate a macro in Pythagoras CAD.
1. Download the macro
Go to the following page: Pythagoras macros.
Download the macro you wish to install.
Unpack the file in your Downloads folder.
This folder contains a PYT File. This drawing contains the macro.
2. Open the drawing in Pythagoras
Open Pythagoras and load the extracted PYT drawing.
- In case of an error message "The document is read-only ...", press "Yes".
- In case of an error message "This document contains a startup macro...", press "Yes".
3. Add the Macro to the System Library
Go to the menu Settings, choose Macro Library Manager...
In the window Macro Manager, you will see two columns: System Library (left column), Document Libraries (right column
- At the right side (Document Libraries), select the macro.
- Press the arrow to the left - the macro will now be copied from the document to your system library (your hard drive).
- Click on the button OK
- You can close this drawing without saving changes.
4. Activate the Macro
From the Active Settings toolbar you can now load the macro
