New Selection and Display Options
The familiar selection functionalities from the 2D environment are now fully integrated into the 3D workspace.
What was previously only possible in 2D is now available in 3D.
From now on, you can:
- Adjust the selection color in 3D.
- Use four different selection methods:
- Selection: Arrow
- Selection: Freehand
- Selection: Brush
- Selection: Magic Wand
Selection: Brush
This tool allows you to precisely select areas within point clouds using a brush selection. By holding down the left mouse button and moving the cursor over the desired area, you can "paint" the points you want to select.
Additionally, with the "Selection: Add" function, you can repeat the selection process until you achieve the desired result.
Selection: Magic Wand
This new intelligent tool automatically detects clusters within the project and recognizes objects in the landscape.
By clicking on a cluster with the left mouse button, all associated points are selected. Using the right mouse button, you can assign an alternative class to the object.
Recognizing and Highlighting Selections
Just like in the 2D environment, you can now enable a "highlighting light" to improve the visibility of selected objects. This is particularly useful for large projects where you need to quickly locate specific objects.
Additionally, the "Show all selected objects in the window" function ensures that your selection always remains within view.
Selection Filters and Snapping Options
When making a selection, you may want to exclude certain objects. This is now possible in the 3D environment using the snapping options in the pull-down menu, allowing you to apply targeted selection filters.
