The protection key could not be found (hasp status 91).
Sometimes, Pythagoras cannot detect the license, resulting in one of the following error codes:
- Hasp Status 91 – Identity conflict due to session takeover
HASP Status Code: 91 – IdentitySharingViolation
MEANING
The session was terminated because another machine with the same identity credentials took over the license.
This occurs with identity-based licenses, which are tied to a specific user or device.
When a new session with the same identity starts on another machine, the first session ends automatically.
SOLUTIONS
- Check the Idle Timeout or Session settings in the Sentinel License Manager:
- Go to http://localhost:1947/int/config_to.html
- Set the maximum value to 4320 minutes (72 hours).

Avoid logging in with the same identity on multiple devices at once.Restart the software and try reconnecting.
Sometimes a session remains 'stuck' and isn’t immediately released.Contact the software provider about a license that supports multiple identities.
A multi-seat license may be required.
