Improved Hardware Acceleration

With the implementation of a new graphics engine, we now leverage the GPU (graphics card) more efficiently, allowing parallel processing of tasks. This results in significant performance improvements in the 2D environment.

Benefits of the New Graphics Engine

1. Improved Performance and Faster Rendering

With optimized GPU integration, 2D drawings load faster and display more smoothly. This leads to:

  • Faster redrawing of complex drawings
  • Reduced lag when zooming in and out
  • More efficient handling of large datasets

2. Parallel Processing for a Smoother Workflow

By utilizing parallel processing, graphical tasks are executed in real time, ensuring that operations like drawing, moving, and modifying objects are faster and smoother than ever before. With the core engine already developed, we are now systematically optimizing the software to achieve the best possible results. As a result, you can expect even greater performance improvements in the near future.

3. Optimized Hardware Utilization

The new engine makes better use of the GPU, reducing the load on the CPU. This results in:

  • Less lag during intensive operations
  • A more stable and responsive working environment
  • An improved user experience, especially when handling large projects

4. Enhanced Display Quality

Beyond performance improvements, the new graphics engine also enhances visual quality:

  • Sharper lines and smoother object rendering
  • Better contrast and improved visibility when working with detailed drawings

Faster Startup

The development of Pythagoras 2025 focused heavily on performance optimization and time efficiency. One of the most noticeable improvements is the significantly reduced startup time. By optimizing the license key validation process, Pythagoras 2025 now launches up to twice as fast as its predecessor.

Additionally, the "Select Pythagoras License" dialog now includes a new button: "Show Old Keys". By default, HASP 4 keys are no longer displayed, further accelerating the startup process.

Smoother Object Movements in Large Drawings

In previous versions, moving grouped objects within complex drawings could be slow and inefficient. This has been significantly improved in Pythagoras 2025. Thanks to optimizations in the underlying functionality, wait times are virtually eliminated, resulting in a much smoother and more efficient workflow.
