How to Install the Bonus Tools Macro

METHOD

Downloading the macro

You can download the Bonus Tools macro from:
https://www.pythagoras.net/download-pythagoras-macros/

1. In your browser, go to the Pythagoras macros page.

2. Under the Bonus Tools section, right-click the Download button.

3. A ZIP file named BonusTools.zip will appear in your downloads folder.

4. Extract the contents of the ZIP file.

Once extracted:

5. Open the BonusTools.pyt file from the extracted BonusTools folder.

6. The file will open in Pythagoras. Click Yes if prompted.

Adding the macro to your environment

1. In Pythagoras, open the Macro Manager via:

   • Settings > Macro Library Manager, or

   • the Active Settings toolbar by clicking the Macro Manager icon.

2. In the Macro Manager window:

   • On the right side, select Bonus Tools (in blue).

   • Click the green arrow in the middle to copy the macro from the document to the system library.

3. Confirm with OK.

To activate:

4. In Active Settings, set BonusTools as the active macro under Macro Manager.

RESULT

You will now see a new menu item: Bonus Tools
It adds extra commands to your workspace.
You’ll also find additional tools under the VBA Tools menu.
