Using table data for annotations
In Pythagoras, you can create annotations based on data stored in tables that are linked to objects. This functionality is provided by the Bonus Tools macro. It allows you to generate text annotations directly from table fields, such as names, codes, types, or other attributes. This avoids manual text input and ensures annotations remain consistent with the underlying data.
STEPS
Check the required macro
Make sure the Bonus Tools macro is installed.
How to install macro: Bonus tools
Verify that Bonus Tools is set as the active macro.
Prepare the table data
Check whether the objects in your drawing are linked to a table:
Double-click an object.
Open the Data tab in the Edit object window.
Verify that the table contains the fields you want to use for the annotation.
Or check this in general:
Go to Settings > Database manager.
In the Database manager window, select a table.
Click View data… to inspect the available fields.
Create annotations from table data
Select the objects you want to annotate.
Go to Bonus Tools > Annotations > Annotate table fields.
In the dialog:
Select the required table under Table.
Select the field to be used as annotation text under Table field.
Set the Precision if the field contains numeric values.
Define the Point size for the text.
Choose the Layer on which the annotations will be placed.
Click OK to create the annotations.
RESULT
The selected objects are automatically annotated with values from the linked table. The annotations clearly display the table data and ensure the drawing always reflects the stored information accurately.
