Manual Classification for Point Clouds in the 3D Environment

Modified on Thu, 20 Mar at 12:30 PM

To enhance the processing of point clouds, Pythagoras introduces an improved workflow that allows you to easily override automatic classifications.

How does it work?

  1. Draw a line in the point cloud within the 2D environment.
  2. Select the line, right-click, and choose "View Profile in 3D Display".
  3. The 3D view opens automatically, displaying the point cloud as an orthogonally projected profile with a default slice depth of 1 meter.

Selecting and Reclassifying Points

This approach allows you to precisely select specific areas and manually override classifications:

  • Use the selection tools to choose the points that need to be reclassified.
  • Right-click and select the correct classification from the list.
  • The change is immediately applied.

You can verify the changes by coloring the point cloud based on classification.
